The Credit Crunch and Student Loans
Don’t React Before Getting the Facts

Despite some troubling reports in the media, students will be able to borrow federal student loans and receive financial aid this fall. The federal government and student loan companies have assured colleges that they will not allow recent developments in the credit markets to prevent students from getting loans.   • Following recent approval from the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) will award community icon and sports legend Andre Agassi an honorary doctorate. Agassi has agreed to accept the award at a fundraising dinner on May 24 for the NSHE Health Sciences System where he will be honored later this spring. Click to read more.
