Steven Zink

On April 1, Steven Zink was appointed vice chancellor for information technology for the Nevada System of Higher Education. In this capacity, he oversees the operation of System Computing Services (SCS). SCS provides information technology services for the Nevada System of Higher Education and its institutions, affiliates and partners.
In addition, Zinks also provides oversight of the NSHE iNtegrate Project, a new system-wide student services system for applications, enrollment, registration and financial aid.
From 1993 to present, Zink served as vice president, information technology and dean, university libraries at the University of Nevada, Reno. Previously, Zink held the position of director of public services at UNR from 1980 through 1992. Prior to joining UNR, Zink was a librarian at the College of Wooster in Ohio from 1979 until 1980.
Zink earned a B.S. in history from Indiana State University, an M.A. in history from the University of Wisconsin, an M.L.S. in library and information science from Louisiana State University, and a Ph.D. in information systems from Nova Southeastern University.
