At a regular meeting of the Board of Regents held this day,
E. T. George and H. L. Fish were present, also the President
of the University.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Bond of the First National Bank of Reno, Treasurer of the
State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College for
Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000), with Geo. W. Mapes, W. O. H.
Martin, A. A. Manning and D. A. Pinder as securities was approved
and placed on file.
Professor Robert Lewers was placed in charge of the Dormitory
building and his salary increased to One Hundred and Fifty
Dollars per month from January 1, 1891.
It was ordered that two dozen chairs be purchased for the Busi-
ness Department.
It was also ordered that the north-west room in the Dormitory
building be prepared for sleeping purposes and the Secretary was
instructed to order the necessary furniture for same at once.
It was ordered that a plank walk be laid from the Central build-
ing to the Agricultural Experiment Station.
Ordered that correspondence be had with a view to the appointment
of Professors in the Agricultural and Mechanical College Depart-
ment.
Ordered that the Secretary notify the United States Treasurer
of the appointment of the First National Bank of Reno, Nevada as
Teasurer of the Agricultural and Mechanical College funds and
transmit a certified copy of the resolution passed November 29,
1890 to that effect under seal of the Board of Regents.
Claims of A. P. Kraus, Postmaster, for stamps for Eight Dollars
($8.00) was allowed, which balanced our AFC with State Treasurer
for two years ending December 31, 1890.
J. M. Neall was appointed Instructor in Drawing and French at
Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per month from December 1, 1890.
Claims against the Agricultural and Mechanical College Fund
were allowed as follows:
