The regular meeting of the Board of Regents was held at their
Office in the Dormitory building on December 20, 1894 at 10 A.M.
Present: Regents J. W. Haines, C. E. Mack and H. L. Fish, also
the President of the University, Dr. Stubbs.
Minutes of the meeting held November 27 read and approved.
Financial statement for the two years, 1893-94, showing receipts
and expenditures in detail was submitted for the annual report
of the Board.
Claims were presented and allowed from the several funds as
follows:
Contingent University Fund
December payroll salary 399.16

Reno Water L&L Co. E. Light 50.00
Total $450.90
which uses up the two years appropriation ending
December 31, 1894 of $25,000.00
Mining Laboratory Fund

Total $218.65
using up the two years appropriations of the
Mining laboratory fund ending December 31, 1894
of $6000.00.

By invitation of the Board and the President of the University,
Governor Colcord and State Treasurer Richards were present.
President Stubbs in his monthly report again called attention
in detail to the necessity of recommending to the Legislature
the appropriations asked for in his annual report to the Board,
which was approved.
Students enrolled for the term, 230.
Profits from the first and second entertainments in a Drill Hall
$262.00.
Dining Hall changes were made on December 4th and running
satisfactorily.
Annual report would be ready for the Governor in a few days.
Oliver Hobbs, a student from Gold Hill, had just died.
On motion of Mr. Mack, the Board adjourned to meet at the call
of the Chairman.
