The Board of Regents met at their Office in the Morrill Hall at
10 o'clock A.M. Saturday, December 16, 1905, a full Board being
present. Also the President of the University.
Minutes of meeting of November 4, 1905 read and approved.
The Secretary read the balance sheets showing condition of funds
October 31.
The appointment of Horatio A. Baker by President Stubbs to the
position of Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at an an-
nual salary of Eighteen Hundred dollars, commencing with
December 1, 1905 was, upon motion of Regent Booher, seconded
by Regent Starrett, approved.
Requisition of Professor Baker of December 14, 1905 for purchases
for Civil Engineering Department to cost about $43.00 was, upon
recommendation of President Stubbs, approved.
Upon motion of Regent Booher, seconded by Regent Starrett, the
Chairman of the Board was authorized to commence any legal pro-
ceedings he may think necessary against the Reno Power Light &
Water Company for the lighting of the grounds and buildings of
the University.
