Under the instructions of the meeting of the Board held November
30, 1895, bids for the Annex to the Mechanical building were
opened in the Office of the Board at 8 o'clock P.M., Wednesday,
December 4, 1895, in the presence of H. L. Fish, President of
the Board of Regents, Dr. Stubbs, President of the University,
and Richard Brown, Superintendent of Buildings, and the bidding
was as follows:
Geo. E. Holesworth $3035.00
Burke Bros. 3870.50
C. E. Clough 2998.00
The bid of Mr. Clough being the lowest and best bid, it was
accepted. Contractor to execute a Bond in the sum of One Thou-
sand Dollars with two approved Sureties, conditioned for the
performance of the contract, payments to be made in the follow-
ing manner: Seventy Five Percent (75%) of the estimated cost of
the work completed at the end of each month, and the remainder
when the work is finished and completed, and the acceptance of
said work and building by the Board of Regents.
