The Board of Regents met at the Office of the Governor pursuant
to the call of the President. Present: H. G. Blasdel and
A. N. Fisher.
A communication from the State Register, "No. 1 Double Minimum
for Individuals", under date October 31, 1867, presenting
application of William Sharon for purchase of S.W. quarter of
Section 34, J16 N. of Railroad 21 E., in Lyon County comprising
160 acres, double minimum lands, was read, ordered on file (see
file "I") and selection made in part satisfaction of the Public
Building Fund Grant, said selection being for 160 acres.
Communication, "No. 3 Minimum for Individuals", under date of
October 31, 1867, presenting application of Charles H. Topping
for north half of S.E. quarter and south half of N.W. quarter
of the N.E. quarter of Section 31; also the north half of the
S.W. quarter and the S.W. quarter of the N.W. quarter of Section
32 of J13 N. of Railroad 20 E., lying on the east fork of the
Carson River about five miles southeasterly from Genoa in
Douglas County, comprising 320 acres, was read, ordered and
filed (see file "H") and selection ordered under the 500,000
Acre Grant.
