Comptroller Gorman made a statement to the Board regarding the
proposed spur from the Western Pacific Railroad to the Univer-
sity Campus, the cost of storage tank for fuel oil and the
prospects of obtaining oil. He was of opinion that the saving
on the purchase price of oil would pay for the spur in two
years' time.
Judge Cheney wished Mr. Gorman to notify Mr. Bernasconi, con-
tractor for the Federal Mining Experiment Station, that payment
of his claim of $2125 is not any waiver of any right the Regents
may have to exact the penalty prescribed by the contract in the
event the building is not completed within the time prescribed
in the contract.
Adjourned.
