At a regular monthly meeting of the Board of Regents held on

Saturday, September 28, 1895 at 1 P.M., a full Board being pres-

ent, also the President of the University, the following busi-

ness was transacted:



Minutes of June 29, August 5 and September 10 were read and

approved.



Balance sheets of expenditures to September 1 were also read.



On motion of W. E. F. Deal, seconded by H. S. Starrett, the com-

munication from the several Fire Insurance Companies with refer-

ence to rates on all University properties was ordered filed.



On motion of W. E. F. Deal, seconded by H. S. Starrett, it was

ordered that Professor R. D. Jackson be paid Sixty-Two Dollars

and Fifty Cents per month from September 1, 1895 to September 1,

1896 for services in connection with the Mining Laboratory.



The President was authorized to call on parents or guardians for

$1.50 a term for use of a Hospital Fund.



It was ordered that the President notify all students to be

vaccinated according to the order of the Board of Health of Reno.



Lease from Nevada State Agricultural Society to the Board of

Regents of the State Fair Grounds was executed September 28, 1895

for the term of ten years from the first day of October, 1895,

subject to the approval of the Legislature.



Claims for the month of September were allowed as follows:
