The Board of Regents met in the Office of President Clark Wed-
nesday evening, September 3, 1924, at 7 o'clock. Present:
Chairman Pratt, Mrs. Hood, Judge Talbot and Mrs. Williams of
the Board, President Clark, Drs. Adams, Hartman, Haseman and
Sears, and Comptroller Gorman.
After some discussion re. the new Science building plans, Judge
Talbot moved that Drs. Adams, Hartman and Haseman be authorized
to consult with Mr. De Longchamps and, if they were not satis-
fied with the help of Mr. De Longchamps, to consult then with
Mr. Ferris, regarding the design for rooms in this building and
with regard to entrance to the building, with understanding that
it is the desire of the Board of Regents to adhere to the archi-
tectural scheme of the Mackay School of Mines building and that
these Professors confer among themselves and report to the Re-
gents at such time as the Board may adjourn, and to present
sketches and determine if they need more room. Vote:

President Clark reported that there are 759 completed enroll-
ments and that a year ago there were, at the end of the same
number of registration days, 681 completed enrollments, or
an increase of 78.
Followed some discussion of the heating of the Dormitories.
Mrs. Hood moved that Chairman Pratt and Comptroller Gorman be
authorized to proceed in this matter, secure and install such
boilers as they think best. Vote:

Adjourned until 7:30 o'clock Wednesday, September 10th, and,
if no quorum present, meeting will be at the same hour Wed-
nesday, September 17th.
