At a special meeting of the Board of Regents of the Nevada State
University, duly called and held at the Office of the Board in
Reno, Nevada, on September 1st, 1900, at 4:00 P.M. on said day,
Regents J. N. Evans and H. S. Starrett being present and consti-
tuting a majority of said Board, the following resolution was
passed, to-wit;
RESOLVED, that the President and Secretary of said Board be
and they hereby are authorized to sign and execute all papers
and documents necessary and requisite in making proofs of the
loss by fire in the Agricultural Experiment Station building,
in Reno, on August 26th, 1900, and to sign and deliver re-
ceipts for the money to be paid in satisfaction of said loss
by the Phoenix Insurance Company of Hartford, Conn. and the
Imperial Insurance Co. of London, Eng.

I, Geo. H. Taylor, Secretary of the Board of Regents of the
Nevada State University, hereby certify the foregoing to be
a full, true and correct copy of the Resolution adopted at
a special meeting of said Board, duly held Saturday, Septem-
ber 1st, 1900 as the same is recorded in and now remains on
record in the minutes of the proceedings of said Board.
