On the recommendation of Professor Stanley Palmer, Vice Presi-
dent Adams recommended that Otis J. Mithoug, a graduate of the
University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, be elected In-
structor in Electrical Engineering at a salary of $1800 for the
University year beginning August 1, 1926. Since the next Board
meeting is scheduled for the 31st of August, a week after the
beginning of the semester, and since Professor Palmer has just
been able to complete negotiations with Mr. Mithoug, the matter
needs action at this time in order that Mr. Mithoug may be ad-
vised of the Board's action prior to the opening of the Uni-
versity. Chairman Pratt moved the acceptance of Dr. Adams'
