Carson City, July 21, 1885
The Board of Regents, pursuant to adjournment, met at this
place. Present: J. H. Rand, L. W. Getchell and H. G. Shaw.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Bill of M. D.
Noteware, Secretary, for fare to Reno and return, on occasion
of meeting on 10th inst. for Four ($4.00) Dollars was allowed.
M. J. Curtis was unanimously elected Superintendent of the work
of construction of the State University, at a compensation of Six
($6.00) Dollars for every working day, his employment to begin
with this 21st day of July, 1885.
Geo. E. Holesworth was allowed the sum of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars
for services rendered in drawing plans and specifications of
State University building, and a check therefor was drawn upon
First National Bank of Reno, Nevada.
Surveyor General Preble was invited to make survey of the ground.
Meeting adjourned subject to call of the President.
