A Joint Session of the Board of Regents and the State Board of

Visitors was held in Carson City, July 4, 1904.



Present:  Regents Booher and Bray, and President Stubbs and the

Board of Visitors.  Absent:  Regent Kirman.



Resolutions were adopted which favored the strict regulation and

number of saloons in Reno and asserting that the Laws respecting

gambling houses should be strictly enforced.



The Secretary of the Board of Visitors was ordered to prepare a

memorial expressing the sentiments of the Board of Visitors and

Regents and forward the same with the above resolution to the

Governor of the State, as the report of the Board of Visitors and

to the Secretary of the Board of Regents to be transmitted by

him to the Mayor and City Council of Reno.
