EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
May 16, 1956
The Executive Committee of the Board of Regents met for a lunch-
eon meeting at the Riverside Hotel on Wednesday, May 16, 1956.
Present: Regents Hardy, Lombardi, Thompson, Ross; Comptroller
Hayden, Engineer Poolman and President Stout.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ross at 12:20 noon.
Home Economics Building
Mr. Poolman presented plans for the Home Economics building
which had been approved by the Fleischmann Foundation.
Agricultural Building
Mr. Poolman presented plans for the Agricultural building
which had been approved by the Fleischmann Foundation.
President Stout recommended, upon the recommendations of Dean
Bertrand and Mr. Poolman, that the plans be approved.
Motion by Dr. Lombardi carried unanimously that the plans be
approved and that the bids be let as soon as possible.
Honorary Degrees
By unanimous agreement, it was decided that honorary degrees
be granted as follows at the June 4 Commencement:
Joseph F. Mc Donald - Doctor of Journalism
Julius Bergen - Doctor of Business Administration
