A meeting of the Board of Regents was held pursuant to the call
of the President. Present: H. G. Blasdel and C. N. Noteware.
By request, C. N. Noteware acted as Secretary pro tem.
A communication from the State Register under date April 4, 1868,
was read, ordered on file (see file "U"), and selection of S.W.
1/4 of N.W 1/4 of Section 4, J15 N. R.20 E., 40 acres on appli-
cation of C. S. Hammer; of the N. 1/2 of Section 4, J15 N. R.21
E., 320 acres on application of M. D. Hurd; of N. 1/2 of Section
5, J15 N. R.21 E., 320 acres on application of J. S. Dunker; of
S. 1/2 of S.E. 1/4 of Section 31, J13 N. R.20 E., 80 acres on
application of Peter Lightle; of N.W. 1/4 of N.E. 1/4 and N.E.

total 1480 (1440) acres to be taken in part satisfaction of the
500,000 Acre Grant.

80 acres on application of H. P. Phillips; of N.E. 1/4 of N.E.
1/4 of Section 31, J15 N. R.19 E., 40 acres, H. M. Yerington;

120 acres on application of Thomas Smith; of S.W. 1/4 of N.E. 1/4

N.E. 1/4 and N.W. 1/4 of S.E. 1/4 of Section 15, J15 N. R.19 E.,
120 acres, ordered on application of G. A. Sears, under 500,000
Acre Grant. Also for same and under same J and R., 40 acres.
A communication from the Register under date April 8, 1868 was
read, ordered on file (see file "W"), and selection of N.W. 1/4
of the S.E. 1/4 of Section 19, J15 N. R.20 E., 40 acres, ordered
under Indemnity Grant, on application of M. Willard.
A communication of the Register under date April 21, 1868 was
read, ordered on file (see file "X"), and selection ordered on
application of C. S. Hammer of N.W. 1/4 of the N.W. 1/4 of
Section 14, J15 N. R.20 E., 40 acres under 500,000 Acre Grant;
on application of S. S. Olin for S.W. 1/4 of N.E. 1/4 and S.E.
1/4 of N.W. 1/4 of Section 7, J15 N. R.21 E., 80 acres under
500,000 Acre Grant, being in total 120 acres.
A communication from the Register under date April 25, 1868 was
read, ordered on file (see file "Y"), and selection of the N.E.
1/4 of the N.W. 1/4 and the N.W. 1/4 of the N.E. 1/4 of Section
17, and the S.W. 1/4 of the S.E. 1/4 of Section 8, J12 N. R.20
E., 120 acres ordered on application of H. Van Sickle; of the
N.E. 1/4 of the N.E. 1/4 of Section 1, J14 N. R.19 E., 40 acres
on application of A. W. Burrill, under the 500,000 Acre Grant,
being in total 160 acres.
