At a regular meeting of the Board of Regents held this day,
Governor Colcord, J. W. Haines, E. T. George and H. L. Fish were
present. Absent: J. D. Torreyson.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The President was notified in person of the Regulation on page 87
of Records and that the decision of the Board be complied with.
Mr. Richard Brown was instructed to make any necessary change in
the flue of furnace as soon as fires cease. Also water closet.
Mr. Brown was authorized to employ a Carpenter to assist in
making a cornice addition to Mechanical Arts building.
Claims were allowed as follows:
Contingent University Fund 567.59
Mining Laboratory Fund 25.00
Ag. & Mech College Fund 2,491.18
Total $3,083.77
No further business appearing, the Board adjourned to meet at
7:30 P.M. at the Riverside Hotel, Reno.

At an adjourned meeting of the Board held April 30 at 7:30 P.M.
at the Riverside Hotel, the same members being present as at the
day session, the following business was transacted.
The President of the University reported his visits to the sepa-
rate Departments, which were approved.
The maker of the appeal of Professor Jackson from the decision of
the President of the University in refusing to put a motion in
regard to allowing students taking special courses in certain
cases was taken up and the decision of the President was
sustained.
No further business appearing, the Board adjourned to meet June
9th, 1892.
