                        April 13, 1921

The Board of Regents met in the Office of the President at 11:30
o'clock Wednesday morning, April 13th. All the members were
present, except Judge Talbot. President Clark and Comptroller
Gorman met with the Board.

President Clark read the following report from the Committee
on the acceptance of the Mining Experiment Station building:

                                            April 13, 1921

    Walter E. Clark, President
    University of Nevada

    My Dear President:

Under date of April 9th final certificates from the State
Architect were received, certifying that the Mining Experi-
ment Station building was completed and ready for acceptance.
These certificates were filed with the understanding that
the following items were to be taken care of before final
payment was made to the Contractor:

Certain builder's hardware had not yet arrived from
        the factory.

The plastering was brought up tight against the heating
pipes and is to be scraped away so as to allow 1/2 inch
        for expansion.

Floor flanges on heating pipes are not yet installed.

Certain cracks have developed in the south wall in the
plaster, owing, no doubt, to the use of unseasoned
        lumber.

In addition to the above there is a small seepage through
the wall on the Mackay building side. The cause of this
has not yet been determined, but it is evidently not the
    fault of the Contractors.

                             Respectfully submitted,

                         /s/ C. H. Gorman, Comptroller
                             J. B. Lynch, Superintendent of
                                 Buildings & Grounds
                             S. C. Lind, Superintendent Mines
                                 Experiment Station Committee

Regent North moved that the building for the Mines Experiment
Station be accepted, subject to the satisfactory final adjust-
ment of the 4 items stated by the Committee and that this adjust-
ment is to be made before final payment is made to Contractor.
