The Board of Regents met at 7:25 o'clock P.M., April 13, 1911,
at their Office. Present: Regents O'Brien, Codd and Reid.
Absent: Regents Williams and Henderson. In the absence of Mr.
Taylor, Dr. H. E. Reid was chosen Secretary Pro Tem.
Recommended by Dr. Stubbs that Frank L. Peterson be made Instruc-
tor in Irrigation.
Moved by Mr. O'Brien, seconded by Dr. Reid, that Mr. Peterson
be so appointed. Carried.
Moved by Dr. Reid, seconded by Mr. O'Brien, that a luncheon be
given the Alumni, students, faculty, Regents and other invited
guests on Commencement Day, to be limited to 75 cents per plate,
the money to come from the Regents' fund.
Moved by Dr. Reid, seconded by Mr. O'Brien, that on recommenda-
tion of the President and the Academic Council the degree of LLD
be conferred on Frank H. Norcross at Commencement, May 17th.
Carried.
On recommendation of Dr. Stubbs, it was moved by Mr. O'Brien,
seconded by Dr. Reid, that Frank L. Peterson be made Assistant
in Irrigation. Carried.
Professor Dinsmore made a written report on the eel worm which
was discussed by the Board.
Dr. Stubbs read a letter from the Y. W. C. A., also a letter
from Mrs. Salisbury, regarding a young lady. No action was
taken.
Moved by Dr. Reid, seconded by Mr. O'Brien, that the advertising
for bids on electrical apparatus be put in the morning papers.
Carried.
No further business appearing, the meeting adjourned.
