The Board of Regents met at the Office of the Bank of Nevada

at 8 o'clock P.M., Tuesday evening, April 13. Present:  W. E. F.

Deal and H. S. Starrett.



The estimate of C. E. Clough for the completion of the Gymnasium

building as per plans and specifications for the sum of Twelve

Hundred and Seventy Five Dollars ($1275.00) is accepted and the

work to be completed on or before the 15th day of May, 1897, pay-

ment to be made when said work is completed and accepted by the

Board of Regents.



On motion of Regent Deal, it was ordered that the salary of Mary

W. Emery be made Eighteen Hundred Dollars per annum from and

after April 1, 1897, payable in monthly payments of One Hundred

and Fifty Dollars.



The plans and specifications for the Mechanical building is ap-

proved and accepted as made by Percy & Hamilton, Architects of

San Francisco, Cala.
