The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Regents was held at
their Office at 9:00 A.M., March 29, 1894. Present: H. L. Fish
and C. E. Mack; J. W. Haines being absent on account of sickness.
Minutes of the previous meeting, including balance sheets showing
the several funds on hand, read and approved.
Claims for the month of March were presented and allowed
as follows:
Agricultural & Mechanical College Fund 1,637.83
Agricultural & Mechanical College Fund 101.91
Contingent University Fund 776.20
State Mining Laboratory Fund 199.00
Total $2,714.94
The President reported number of students enrolled at this date,
191, in classes, about 150.
On motion of Mr. Mack, it was ordered that the Board communicate
with the C. P. and V. T. C. and C. V. R. N. C. and O., Rye Nevada
Central and Eureka Palisade Railroads with a view of giving the
students of the University reduced rates over their roads to and
from the University.
On motion of Mr. Mack, the matter of Military Instructor was
referred to Mr. Fish for further correspondence.
Professor R. D. Jackson filed his Mining Laboratory report for
the month of March as follows:
