The Board of Regents met in the Office of President Clark at the
University at 2 o'clock Wednesday, January 28, 1925. Present:
Chairman Pratt, Mrs. Hood and Judge Talbot of the Regents, Pres-
ident Clark and Comptroller Gorman.
The minutes of the meeting of January 5th were amended by the
insertion of Judge Talbot's motion resulting in a tied vote that
the organization meeting be postponed until January 31, 1925.
The correction included, the minutes were approved, on motion
of Chairman Pratt, by the following vote:

Judge Talbot Aye
Mr. Pratt Aye
List No. 1 State Claims Nos. 1 to 11 inclusive for the net sum
of $22,092.98, and List No. 2 Regents Checks Nos. 5007 to 5016
inclusive for the net sum of $33,713.70 were, on motion of Mrs.
Hood, approved by the following vote:

Judge Talbot Aye
Mr. Pratt Aye
On motion of Executor Pratt, the Regents accepted the provisions
of the Rousseau Bequest by the following vote:

Mr. Pratt Aye
In accord with the verbal understanding already had with the
Reno members of the Board, President Clark recommended that Mr.
Lawrence T. Shaw be made Instructor in the Department of Physical
Education for Men and Head Coach for Football in this University
at a salary of $3000 per year for a period of two years begin-
ning August 1, 1925. Mrs. Hood moved the adoption of the Presi-
dent's recommendation. Vote:

Adjourned with the understanding that the next meeting is to be
called for 9 o'clock Saturday, February 28, 1925.
