Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of Regents met in the Office
of the State Land Reporter this day January 22, 1887. Present:
Regents J. H. Rand, H. G. Shaw and M. D. Noteware, Clerk of the
Board.
Regent J. H. Rand, President of the Board, occupied the Chair.
The claim of M. W. Standing for $10 for engrossing the Biennial
Report of the Board of Regents for the years 1885 and 1886 was
approved and ordered paid out of the Regents Fund.
Regent Rand reported a balance of Eighty Dollars and Ninety-Seven
Cents ($80.97) on hand to the credit of the Regents Fund. This
was found to be correct and ordered paid to M. D. Noteware, Clerk
of the Board, his receipts taken therefor and the said sum of
$80.97 to be by him turned over to the Chairman of the Board of
Regents at their next meeting.
Hon. John M. Dormer, by request of the Board, transmitted a bound
volume of the General Statistics of Nevada. The same was ordered
deposited with the Clerk of the Board to be by him turned over to
the Chairman at its next meeting, together with all vouchers, pa-
pers, documents, etc.
On motion of Regent Rand, Regent Shaw was appointed a committee
of one to present the Biennial Report to the Legislature after
it shall have been engrossed.
On motion of Regent Shaw, the Clerk of the Board was instructed
to forward, with a letter of transmittal, one copy of the print-
ed copy of the Biennial Report of the Board of Regents of Nevada
for the years 1885 and 1886 to each of the Colleges enjoying the
benefits of the Grant of 30,000 Acres, for each Senator and Rep-
resentative in Congress, and one printed copy to the Hon. Mr.
Secretary of the Interior in accordance with the provisions of
such of the Act of Congress approved July 1862.

There being no further business to transact, the Board adjourned
