The Board of Regents met at their Office, Thursday evening,
January 4, 1900 at 9:30 A.M., the full Board being present.
Minutes of meeting held October 7, 1899 read and approved.
Balance sheet showing the condition of the funds from the sev-
eral Departments in December was submitted.
President Stubbs placed in nomination Mr. Charles P. Brown to be
Acting Irrigation Engineer in connection with the Experiment
Station from January 1, 1900 at a salary of Twenty Five dollars
per month to be paid from the Experiment Station funds.
Upon motion, the above nomination was approved.
Upon motion of Regent Deal, seconded by Regent Starrett, Presi-
dent Stubbs was granted a leave of absence to attend the meeting
of the National Live Stock Association to be held at Fort Worth,
Texas as a delegate representing the State of Nevada, and a meet-
ing in Chicago and Washington in connection with the Experiment
Station and Agricultural Colleges to be held the latter part of
January and early part of February and Professor Henry Thurtell
be and is hereby appointed Acting President in the absence of
President Stubbs.
No further business appearing, the Board adjourned.
