Regent Mark Alden was elected to the Board of Regents in 1994 and currently serves as chair of the Audit Committee and the Business and Finance Committee. He is also a member of the Health Sciences System Committee and the Investment and Facilities Committee.
Originally from Portland, Maine, Regent Alden is a Certified Public Accountant and a forensic accountant specializing in white-collar crime investigations. He also serves on the Fee Dispute Arbitration Committee of the State Bar of Nevada.
Regent Alden earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting with a minor in political science and Nevada history from the University of Nevada, Reno. He and his wife, Tungalag Has-Ochyr, reside in Las Vegas.
