REGENTS TO HEAR PUBLIC TESTIMONY ON PROPOSED
UNR LAND SALE
LAS VEGAS Members of the public are encouraged to participate in a
special meeting of the Nevada Board of Regents to hear public testimony on the
proposed property sale of property located at Mill St. and McCarran Blvd.
The meeting will be held on September 7 in the Nightingale Concert Hall on the
campus of the University of Nevada, Reno and will start at 2 p.m. An agenda for
the meeting, which is being held at the request of University President John
Lilley, can be found online at

Officials from the University of Nevada, Reno will make a presentation on the
proposed sale of the 55-acre property and will discuss regional flood control
issues and the propertys role in the mission of the university.
The Nevada Board of Regents is the elected, 13-member governing body for the
Nevada System of Higher Education. Comprising two doctoral-granting
universities, a state college, four comprehensive community colleges and one
environmental research institute, the NSHE serves the educational and job
training needs of the nations fastest growing state. As Nevadas
only system of higher education, the NSHE provides educational opportunities to
more than 100,000 students.
