Town Hall Meeting to be Held on State College Location
LAS VEGAS -- The chancellor of Nevada's public system of higher education will host a town hall meeting April 28 to discuss the proposed location for Nevada State College.
"This meeting will provide a forum for the residents of Henderson to share their thoughts about the location of a college campus in their community," said Dr. Jane Nichols, chancellor of the University and Community College System of Nevada. "I want to invite the residents of Henderson to attend and ask any questions they may have about the proposed college."
Open to the public, the meeting will be held from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. in the main lecture hall of the Caesar Cavigilia building at the Henderson campus of Community College of Southern Nevada, 700 College Dr.
On hand will be Nevada State College Founding President Dr. Richard Moore as well as Thalia Dondero, chair of the Nevada Board of Regents.
Comprising two doctoral-granting universities, four comprehensive community colleges and one environmental research institution, the University and Community College System of Nevada serves the educational and job training needs of the nation's fastest growing state. As Nevada's only system of higher education, the UCCSN provides educational opportunities to nearly 100,000 students.
