ELKO -- The University and Community College System of Nevada today announced that Christine Chairsell has been selected to serve as the Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs.

Chairsell previously served as the Interim Associate Vice President of Computing Services for the Community College of Southern Nevada.

She will be replacing Dr. Sherwin Iverson who was appointed today by the Board of Regents to serve as the Interim Vice Chancellor.

Chairsell joined CCSN in 1995 as Dean of Special Programs before serving as Provost of the Charleston Campus.

Prior to joining CCSN, Chairsell was at UNLV for eight years in the Department of Political Science and the Environmental Studies Program. She is presently working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership.
