Miles Appointed Interim Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration

ELKO -- The Board of Regents today unanimously approved the appointment of Daniel Miles to serve as the Interim Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration.

Miles previously served as the Senate Fiscal Analyst for the Legislative Counsel Bureau for the State of Nevada. He will begin his new responsibilities July 1.

He will be filling a position that has been vacant since Dr. Tom Anderes was appointed Interim Chancellor last year.
Miles began working for the State of Nevada in 1969 and has been with the Legislative Counsel Bureau since 1977. He has held several positions including Chief Assistant Budget Administrator in the Budget Division, and Deputy Fiscal Analyst for the Legislative Counsel Bureau.

A native Nevadan, Miles was raised in Carson City and earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Comprised of two doctoral-granting universities, four comprehensive community colleges and one environmental research institution, the University and Community College System of Nevada serves the educational and job training needs of the nation's fastest growing state. As Nevada's only system of higher education, the UCCSN provides educational opportunities to more than 90,000 students.
