Board Appoints Sandoval to Henderson College Post


LAS VEGAS -- The Board of Regents appointed today Orlando Sandoval to serve as the first vice president for Nevada State College at Henderson.
Mr. Sandoval, a 15-year employee at the Community College of Southern Nevada, was selected to be the Interim Vice President for Planning and Administration for the new college.
Previously the Vice President for Planning and Administrative Services at CCSN, Mr. Sandoval played a key role in the planning and building of more than $160 million in construction at the college during his time with the institution.
Prior to joining CCSN, he was the Director of Physical Plant for Northern New Mexico Community College and owned his own construction company.
Mr. Sandoval is also the president of the Latin Chamber of Commerce and has been recognized twice as the organization's Hispanic Professional of the Year. He is also the recipient of the Board of Regents' Outstanding Administrator award for the Community College of Southern Nevada.
