Regents Appoint Randolph as Interim Vice Chancellor

Reno -- The Board of Regents today unanimously appointed Dr. Jim Randolph to serve as the interim vice chancellor for finance and administration for the University and Community College System of Nevada.
Randolph, who was previously the associate vice chancellor for finance and planning, was appointed to the new position retroactive to August 2, 1999 and will be based in Las Vegas. Dr. Tom Anderes, who has been the vice chancellor for finance and administration since 1994, was recently appointed to serve as the interim chancellor.
Prior to joining the UCCSN in December of last year, Randolph has held the top post at four community colleges. From 1995 to 1998, he served as the president of Western Nevada Community College in Carson City.
He holds an A.A. in education from Thronton Junior College and a B.S. in Industrial Arts and a M.S. in Industrial Education from Illinois State University. Dr. Randolph earned his Ph.D. in Vocational-Technical Education Administration from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
Comprised of two doctoral-granting universities, four comprehensive community colleges and one environmental research institution, the University and Community College System of Nevada serves the educational and job training needs of the nation’s fastest growing state. As Nevada’s only system of higher education, the UCCSN provides educational opportunities to more than 82,000 students.
