LAS VEGAS, NV -- The Board of Regents will honor the 1997-1998 UNLV Golf Team during the UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony tomorrow night.

Dr. Jill Derby, chair of the UCCSN Board of Regents, will read a Board resolution commemorating the UNLV Golf Team's 1998 NCAA Championship.

"These student athletes represent the best of Nevada's system of higher education. Not only did they bring a prestigious second NCAA championship title to UNLV and the community, the team managed to hold above a 3.0 average GPA," said Dr. Derby.

The ceremony will be held shortly before 8 p.m. on the second floor of the Moyer Student Union at UNLV.

Comprised of two doctoral-granting universities, four comprehensive community colleges and one environmental research institution, the University and Community College System of Nevada serves the educational and job training needs of the nation's fastest growing state.
