The University and Community College System of Nevada (UCCSN) Board of Regents today approved a second three-year contract for Dr. James Randolph, President of Western Nevada Community College. The new contract will cover the period July 1, 1998 through June 30, 2001. (Dr. Randolph is currently completing a three-year contract for the period, July 10, 1995-July 1, 1998.)

UCCSN Chancellor Jarvis commented, "I am extremely pleased Dr. Randolph will be continuing as President of Western Nevada Community College. He enjoys widespread support from faculty, staff and administrators on his campuses and received outstanding evaluations from these and other constituents, such as community leaders."

In addition to his position at WNCC, Dr. Randolph has served as President of Wilkes Community College in North Carolina, as President of the College of Eastern Utah, as President of Southern West Virginia Community College and as Executive Director of the Wyoming Community College Commission.

Western Nevada Community College serves more than 5,000 students from its campuses in Carson City, Fallon and Douglas County, Nevada.
