                 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
                       August 3, 1938

At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Regents,
Messrs. Ross, Wingfield and Brown present, this August 3, 1938,
Mr. Fulton presented the following request through Acting Presi-
dent Adams:

    Dear Dr. Adams:

    I hereby apply for an extension of my leave of absence as
    Director of the Mackay School of Mines from September 15,
    1938 to January 1, 1939, provided I file my declaration of
    candidacy for the Republican nomination for Governor of
    Nevada.

    If I do not so file, I shall again assume my duties as Di-
    rector of the School at the expiration of my present leave
    on September 15, next.

There being a motion duly made and seconded, it was:

    RESOLVED, that this request for an extension of his leave
    of absence as set forth in his application be granted to Mr.
    Fulton.
