                      Carson City, Nevada

                       November 16, 1865



The Board of Regents met at the Office of the Governor of said

State of Nevada on the 16th day of November A. D. 1865 pursuant

to the call of the Chairman.  Present:  H. G. Blasdel, Chauncey

N. Noteware and A. F. White.



The Board organized in conformity with the law, which constitutes

Governor H. G. Blasdel, Chairman, and A. F. White, Superintendent

of Public Instruction, Secretary.



In compliance with the provisions of an Act approved March 19,

1865, entitled, "An Act to Establish an Agricultural and

Mechanical College in Washoe County, Nevada", the following

gentlemen were appointed Commissioners to receive donations as

provided in said Act.  Viz:  General J. S. Glingerland and the

Honorable Charles A. Lambert, in Washoe County, as also Captain

H. A. Cheeven from said county.  From Storey County, John A.

Collins.  From Ormsby County, C. L. Anderson, M. D.



On motion, the 25th day of November, 1865, was fixed as the time

and Washoe City, Washoe County at the Office of the County Clerk

thereof, as the place for having the first meeting of said Board

of Commissioners and then the Board adjourned to meet at the call

of the Chairman.
