Regent Mark Alden was elected to the Board of Regents in 1994 and is currently chair of both the Audit Committee and the Appeals Committee for Millennium Scholarship. He also serves on the Board's Investment Committee and the Budget & Finance Committee.

Originally from Portland, Maine, Regent Alden is a Certified Public Accountant and a forensic accountant specializing in white-collar crime investigations. He also serves on the Fee Dispute Arbitration Committee of the State Bar of Nevada.

Regent Alden earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting with a minor in political science and Nevada history from the University of Nevada, Reno. He and his wife, Tungalag Has-Ochyr, reside in Las Vegas.
