Regent Mark Alden was elected to the Board of Regents in 1994 and is currently chair of the Board's Budget & Finance Committee. He also serves on the Audit and Investment Committees, as well as the ad hoc Technology Committee.

Originally from Portland, Maine, Regent Alden is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting with a minor in political science and Nevada history from the University of Nevada, Reno.
