The Board of Regents met at the Office of the Governor pursuant

to the call of the President.  Present:  H. G. Blasdel, C. N.

Noteware and A. N. Fisher.



A communication from the State Register under date May 18, 1868

was read, ordered on file (see file "Aa"), and selection ordered

under 500,000 Acre Grant of lands described as follows, viz:



    On application of W. H. Smith, W. 1/2 of N.W. 1/4 (W. 1/2 of

    lots 1 and 2), Section 6, J11 N. R.20 E., 80 acres.



    On application of W. W. Lafohaus, E. 1/2 and S.W. 1/4 of

    Section 26, and S.E. 1/4 of S.E. 1/4 of Section 27, and S.E.

    1/4 of N.W. 1/4, S. 1/2 of N.E. 1/4 of Section 34, and N.W.

    1/4 of N.W. 1/4 of Section 35, of J13 N. R.18 E., 320 acres.



    On application of Thomas Smilte, S. 1/2 of S.E. 1/4 of

    Section 21, N.W. 1/4 of N.E. 1/4 of Section 28, of J15 N.

    R.19 E., 120 acres.



    On application of A. R. Ferris, N.W. 1/4 of Section 28, and

    N.E. 1/4 of Section 29 of J13 N. R.20 E., 320 acres.



    On application of Charles M. Shultz, S.W. 1/4 of Section 28,

    and N.E. 1/4 of Section 33 of J13 N. R.20 E., 320 acres,

    total 1160 acres.
