The Board of Regents met at the call of the President.  Present:

H. G. Blasdel, C. N. Noteware and A. N. Fisher.



A communication from the State Register, "No. 4 Minimum for

Individuals", under date November 30, 1867, presenting applica-

tion for selection in behalf of J. W. Haines of N.W. 1/4 Section

28, J13, N. of Railroad 19 E., 160 acres; of C. Van Herbert west

of south 1/2 Section 29, J13 N. of Railroad 19 E., 320 acres; of

T. J. Furber of W. 1/2 of Section 4, J13 N. of Railroad 19 E.,

320 acres and of Fred Funta of N.E. 1/4 Section 4, J13 N. of

Railroad 19 E., 160.46 acres, was read, ordered on file (see

file "J"), and selection made under Public Building Fund Grant,

being for 960.46 acres, situated in Douglas County.



Communication under same date, "No. 2 Double Minimum for

Individuals", presenting application of Charles S. Hammer for

selection of S.W. 1/4 of N.W. 1/4 of Section 4, J15 N. of Rail-

road 20 E., 40 acres, was read and placed on file (see file "K"),

and selection ordered under 500,000 Acre Grant, being for 40

acres situated in Ormsby County.



On motion, C. N. Noteware was appointed a committee to address

our representatives in Congress, requesting them to secure

Congressional authorization of the diversion of the School Fund

of proceeds of lands named in Sections 8 and 9 of the Enabling

Act and also extension of the time therein allowed for selection

of said lands.



The minutes of the previous meetings were read, approved and

ordered signed by the President and the Secretary.
